Hotel DuquesaExperiencing Mexico, wether you are from abroad or were born here, is becoming a luxury these days; the true essence of our culture is lost by more "modern" concepts. Most visitors looking for accommodations tend to be disappointed by when their villa isn't really very different from what they have at home. Yet there is always an exception, a haven so to speak, where one can still experience the authenticity, the true flavors of Mexico and its regional beauty during their stay. In Bucerías this haven is Hotel Duquesa , a beautiful 3 villa hotel which maintains and represents the beauty, culture and flavor of Banderas Bay. Nestled amongst palm trees and bugambilias on Bucería's quiet south side only one block from the beach, Hotel Duquesa offers its guests lush gardens, kept in traditional Mexican Pacific style, with coconut palms, ferns and other exotic local vegetation neatly displayed throughout the grounds, surrounding a beautiful swimming pool and adjoining jacuzzi. The gardens are alive with exhibited local wildlife, such as a family of ducks and a resident macaw as well as other pet birds, humming birds and geckos. A large palapa peers over the vegetation in front of the pool, like a mayan pyramid peering above the jungle trees. A small roofed terrace adjacent to the pool is perfect for cooking an outdoor meal. There are hammocks, lawn chairs and tables to accommodate all who choose to lounge in the garden area. All the decor is in authentic Mexican Pacific Coast style. |
